Nonprofit Organizations and Volunteer EngagementNonprofit Organizations and Volunteer Engagement

In this article I’m going to tell you about a new program that’s gaining fast popularity with non-profit organizations – Team and Volunteer Engagement. If you’re a leader in a non-profit, you should definitely look into it. First of all, what is it? The team and volunteer engagement strategy was developed by Abiola Oke, who worked previously as a volunteer leader for the non-profit World Vision.

Tips for Developing Volunteer Engagement and Team Building Activities for Nonprofit Organizations

Oke discovered that when he organized a teambuilding event for World Vision’s volunteers, the organization was able to increase team and volunteer engagement. Why did they do it? They did it because they realized that by allowing their volunteers to be able to participate actively in the planning process – they would get a sense of ownership over the outcome. Oke explains: “When I was organizing these events, I tried to empower the volunteers to be able to take part and have input in the planning process. I also found out that by having upvote or downvote privileges, that really allowed me to empower the team to get involved in the planning process.”

So what does a feature upvote or downvote emblem mean? That depends on your organization. With a feature upvote or downvote emblem you can indicate that particular person is very important to the mission of the animal welfare charity. You can also use a feature upvote or downvote emblem for a specific goal that you have in mind. For example, if you want to increase team and volunteer engagement, you could use a feature upvote or downvote emblem for that goal.
